Rwanda Energy Group in partnership with Rwanda Red Cross and the National Police has started training technicians in branches and plants on first aid skills and oil management.

This training is in the framework of ensuring safety of REG staff as specified Mr. Geoffrey Zawadi, the REG Director of Human Resources,  during the closing of the first round of such trainings at Jabana thermal power plant.

“The work you do is important for us, but your life and safety is more important for us” he added.

In the first round, 25 staff members from Jabana power plant were trained on first aid skills. REG aims at ensuring that safety and health measures are respected.

The objective is to train and sensitize on a regular basis all its staff on safety principles.
